It’s been quietly hanging on the back wall in the woodshop of a sought-after luthier here in Southern California for a couple of years. I’ve been a customer of Ronald Hachez for a while. Excellent work and craftsmanship. They play like melted butter. My maestro, Jose Tanaka referred me to him. Ron also makes his own guitars and they can be found in finer boutique guitar shops and in the hands of collectors. All made to order.
Long story short… I played this guitar while waiting for him to touch up a Felipe Conde negra I gave him. A couple years later (5/18/2026), I gave him a call to see if he still had that guitar. He said that an old mutual friend of ours had it at his shop for sale. This is Guillermo Rios owner of Long Beach Guitar Repair on 7th Street. So had to stop by.
Long story shorter… I brought it home.
